I'm 95% sure, bcuz I didn't use hacks on VAC (100% sure) only used on non-vac servers, but as far as I know, it does not give a VAC Ban. I was only playing with Project Transparency 0.3 on VAC, so I guess VAC fucks up mat-hacks now...

Mat hacks were never and WILL NEVER, be detected.
Why you ask?
Because its just a skin for the textures.
If you get banned for using a mat cheat
Then everyone using gun skins/hostage skins/player skins
Would get vaced.
Mat hacking does not violate any of Valves terms of service.

Sometimes you can get vaced for hacking in a non vac server.
Or even your own server that you made.
